DSA Demands Urgent Action on Public Safety

Posted on

Seattle City Hall

This month, DSA, along with more than 180 business, nonprofit and community leaders, sent a letter to city and county elected officials asking for specific and urgent action to improve the crises of public safety and homelessness downtown. We’re seeking investments in mental health and substance abuse services along with more safety measures and housing. If these issues are not adequately addressed, downtown’s recovery and the health of the entire city is at risk. We urge downtown workers, residents, business owners and nonprofit leaders to contact the Seattle City Council and implore them to prioritize investment in public safety and chronic homelessness downtown.
